Performance Based Prevention System
PBPS / KIT
The Performance Based Prevention System (PBPS) is a database tracking
software package, which is based on the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention’s
(CSAP) Minimum Data Set (MDS), a nationally recognized standard. MDS
is a collection of standard data elements developed by CSAP to enable
states, substance abuse agencies, community-based service providers,
and others to quantify and compare the number and type of primary prevention
and early intervention services delivered. The use of these standards
provides a consistent and comprehensive basis to collect and analyze
data. This system is created and maintained by Kit Solutions.
The Office of Substance Abuse has implemented this system for the One
ME prevention contracts and the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities
Governor's Portion grantees.
FAQs, What's New, as well as a manual for using Maine's
system.
